Through a statement on their official website, English Premier League club Crystal Palace have announced their retained and released list for the academy and first team players following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season.
Former Nigeria U16 international Kelvin Agho will depart the Eagles for good upon the expiry of his contract on June 30, 2024.
Agho is set to leave Crystal Palace without making his senior debut. He took in loan spells at STK 1914 Šamorín in Slovakia and Serbian side FK Voždovac during his time at Crystal Palace.
The 19-year-old was a key member of the Future Eagles squad to the 2019 International Dream Cup and that same year, he trained with the Golden Eaglets ahead of the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup.
Chima Eze, the younger brother of 2017 Super Eagles invitee Eberechi Eze, has been offered a new contract for the 2024-2025 season and it remains to be seen whether he will take up the offer.
The forward joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2023 following a successful trial and played in two games combined in the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy in the recently concluded season.
Eze was an unused substitute as Palace were held to a 1-1 draw by Feyenoord in the Premier League International Cup on January 17, 2024 and was subsequently left out of the development squad's matchday squads.
At academy level, 2023 Flying Eagles invitees Ademola Ola-Adebomi and Owen Goodman, Tayo Adaramola, Victor Akinwale, Mofe Jemide, and Franco Umeh are the Nigeria-eligible players retained
At first team level, former Golden Eaglets invitee Malcolm Ebiowei, 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise and David Ozoh, the youngest-ever player to represent Crystal Palace in the Premier League, have all been retained.
