Bayern Munich considering making a move for Atalanta's Super Eagles forward Lookman
Published: June 11, 2024Bayern Munich are considering making a move for 2023 Africa Cup of Nations star and UEFA Europa League winner Ademola Lookman.
According to German Bundesliga transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, the Bavarians have discussed the possibility of moving for the Atalanta forward but there is nothing concrete regarding their interest in him at the moment.
Plettenberg's report also added that the Nigeria international will only move to a top club this summer if he decides to leave Atalanta and his valuation is between €25-30m.
Bayern Munich are open to listen to offers for wide forwards Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry which mean they will have to bring in at least one winger to replace the duo if they leave the club.
This might have informed their interest in Lookman whose performance in the just concluded season has attracted a lot of attention, particularly with his magnificent outing in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.
There have also been reports linking him with West Ham but there has been no substantial developments on that front too as the club already boast of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus, two of Premier League's finest wide forwards.
Lookman recorded 27 goal involvements across all competitions for Atalanta last season and could be primed for a move away from the Serie A outfit.
