Official: Daughter of former Super Eagles striker joins AC Milan on permanent deal

With a statement on their official website, Italian side AC Milan have announced that Evelyn Ijeh, daughter of retired Nigeria international striker Peter Ijeh, has joined the Rossonere on a permanent deal.

The 2021 Super Falcons invitee has been offered fresh terms after her impressive performances during a loan spell in the second half of last season.

By signing a three-year deal with AC Milan, until June 30, 2027, Ijeh has ended her association with Club Tigres Femenil UANL, where she was teammates with South Africa dazzler Thembi Kgatlana.

Evelyn Ijeh tallied four goals in fifteen appearances for AC Milan, after joining them on loan in January 2024.

A player with pace and ability to play as a striker or winger, she is widely regarded as one of the most promising players hailing from Scandinavia.

Evelyn netted 34 goals in 42 matches combined in the Damallsvenskan and Elitettan during her stint with Vaxjo.

She has also worn the colours of Goteborg, Hacken and Lodkoping, and was two-time league champion, once in the Damallsvenskan and once in the Elitettan, and won the Svenska Cupen twice.

About two weeks ago, Evelyn Ijeh received her first-ever call-up to Sweden's national team ahead of 2025 European Championship qualifying matches against France and England.

Evelyn and her younger sister Josephine Ijeh trained with the Super Falcons in Vienna, Austria in the summer of 2021, before the Aisha Buhari invitational tournament.
