There are claims that Orban could slip down the pecking order of forwards at Lyon following the club's permanent acquisition of Guinea-Bissau national teamer Mama Baldé from Troyes and the arrival of Georgia's 2024 European Championship star Georges Mikautadze. 

Lyon also have in their ranks marquee striker and France's Olympic national team captain Alexandre Lacazette.
