Rangers striker Dessers joins Celtic, Aberdeen, Motherwell stars in Scottish Premiership TOTW
Published: August 26, 2024Rangers' striker Cyriel Dessers has been named in Whoscored.com's Scottish Premiership Team of the Week following his heroics in the Light Blues' 6-0 thrashing of Ross County on Saturday.
Desses was named alongside four of his teammates, two Celtic stars, two from Aberdeen and two others from Motherwell.
The Nigeria international opened the scoring for Rangers in their huge victory against Ross County at the Hampden Park before scoring another in the 58th minute of the clash to give Philippe Clement's side a three-goal cushion.
Not long after he got his brace, Clement took him off for Danilo who spent a huge chunk of last season on the sidelines and the Brazilian striker was responsible for the Scottish giants' last goal of the game.
Ross County is one of the former Cremonese forward's favorite opponents as he also bagged a brace against the Dingwall-based side last season and has now taken his tally against them to four, a joint-best record against Scottish sides.
He got a 9.10 rating for his latest heroics against the Staggies and was only outscored by his teammate Rabbi Matondo, who also bagged a brace against them.
