Lagos-born winger Onyedinma in talks with Turkish cub after release by Luton Town
Published: August 26, 2024Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Lagos-born winger Fred Onyedinma is in talks with Turkish First League club Amedspor over a move in the summer transfer window but no agreement not has been reached as of now.
Onyedinma is on the lookout for a new club following his release by Luton Town upon the expiration of his contract in June 2024.
The versatile winger trained with Stoke City during their pre-season preparations but nothing came out of it.
There could be light at the end of the tunnel as Amedspor are genuinely interested in signing Onyedinma.
The 27-year-old is mulling over the offer from Amedpsor, with a final decision expected to be made on Monday, August 26.
Onyedinma spent the first half of last season on loan at Rotherham United, where he made eighteen appearances in all competitions and put his name on the scoresheet on two occasions.
He was recalled from his loan spell with the Millers in the January transfer window and was brought into the Hatters first team fold due to injuries that ravaged the squad.
Onyedinma made his Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur and later appeared in seven additional matches in the division, as Luton Town were relegated from the top flight at the end of the season.
A product of the Millwall academy, Onyedinma has also worn the colours of Wycombe Wanderers in the past.
