Super Eagles striker with 28 career goals in advanced talks with Qatari club after Udinese exit
Published: August 28, 2024Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Super Eagles striker Isaac Success is set to be off the free agency market as he is in advanced talks with a Qatari club over a big-money move.
Italian Serie A club Udinese announced on Tuesday that it has reached and signed an agreement for the mutual termination of the contract with the 2013 Africa U17 Cup of Nations top scorer with seven goals.
It is understood that Success asked for his contract at the Bianconeri to be terminated ahead of a proposed move to the unnamed club in Qatar.
The Qatari outfit have proposed a three-year contract for Success and the deal would see him pocket approximately double the wages he earned at Udinese.
Since turning professional, Success has mustered 28 career goals comprising six each for Udinese and Watford, and sixteen in the colours of the Granada teams.
Edo State-born Success was in Benin City on Tuesday, August 27 to watch a youth tournament but departed for Nigeria's commercial capital, Lagos on Wednesday.
Success turns 29 in January 2025 and it's likely he will accept the offer from the Qatari club, with financial incentives playing a major role in his decision as age is no more on his side in football terms.
The BJ Foundation academy product has played in three of the top five European leagues - Premier League, La Liga and Serie A.
