Official: After spending last season at Reading, FCK forward Mukairu heads out on loan again
Published: September 06, 2024With a statement on their official website, FC Copenhagen have announced that Nigerian forward Paul Mukairu has been loaned out to Turkish First League club Boluspor for the remainder of the season.
This is the second time Mukairu has been loaned out by the Danish Superliga giants since his arrival at the club in 2022, having spent the whole of last season at League One outfit Reading.
He had to return to his parent club FC Copenhagen in the summer as the Royals did not offer him a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old Mukairu departed the Select Car Leasing Stadium after making 38 appearances in all competitions, registering six goals and three assists.
Mukairu started his amateur career with FC Hearts Academy and later became a professional player at Turkish club Antalyaspor, where he rose through the youth team ranks to make his senior debut in a league game at Göztepe in the opening round of matches in the 2019-2020 season.
He has seen his first team opportunities limited since transferring to FC Copenhagen, making 25 all-competition appearances, including six starts.
The forward played in two Champions League games with Manchester City and played in the home leg versus Sevilla in the 2022-2023 season.
Paul Mukairu played on loan at Anderlecht in the 2020-2021 campaign, where he was involved in 29 games, scoring four goals.
