Football statistics website Whoscored has unveiled its Team of the Week for the top five European leagues consisting of the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga, French Ligue 1 and Italian Serie A.
Bayer Leverkusen star Victor Boniface and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman have both been recognized for their outstanding displays this past week, with the two Nigeria internationals named in the European Team of the Week.
Eleven different clubs have contributed players to the Best XI, namely Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United, Ipswich Town, Rayo Vallecano, Napoli, Celta Vigo, Atalanta, Monaco, Rennes and Bayer Leverkusen.
There are two representatives from the Premier League in the shape of Ipswich Town goalkeeper Arijanet Muric and Manchester United summer signing Matthijs de Ligt, while La Liga stars Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, Rayo Vallecano's Andrei Ratiu and Celtia Vigo's Hugo Alvarez have also made the cut.
With a perfect rating of 10, Bayern Munich marksman Harry Kane is the highest rated player and he's joined in attack by fellow Bundesliga forward Victor Bonifac who has been awarded a rating of 9.56.
Boniface secured his place in the European Team of the Week after inspiring Bayer Leverkusen to a 4-1 rout of Hoffenheim by scoring a brace and providing an assist.
The 23-year-old attempted seven shots with four on target and two ending up in the back of the net.
In what was his season debut in the Serie A, Lookman directly participated in two of the three goals scored by Atalanta in a 3-2 home win against Fiorentina, bagging a goal and an assist.
The Ballon d'Or nominee registered a game high five shots and completed five successful dribbles, more than any other player on the pitch.
