EFL: Maja scores in fourth-straight away game; Dele-Bashiru nets winner; Offiah opens account

In the Championship, West Bromwich Albion suffered their first defeat of the campaign, losing 3-2 to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough Stadium.

With the scores at 2-0, Josh Maja reduced the deficit, heading Tom Fellows's cross into the back of the net after a nice exchange of passes between the latter and Grady Diangana.

Maja has now scored in four straight away games, against Queens Park Rangers, Stoke City, Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday. 

The Super Eagles striker has seven goals in seven games in the Championship this term, making him the top scorer in the division at the moment.

Watford earned a late 2-1 victory over Sunderland at the Vicarage Road with Tom Dele-Bashiru netting the winning goal for the Hornets. 

In the 84th minute, the former Nigeria U23 international midfielder scored from the spot to give the Hornets the win and net his second of the campaign

In League One, Blackpool defeated Burton 3-0 at Bloomfield Road, and Odeluga Offiah scored for Blackpool in the game.

The Brighton and Hove Albion loanee got the first goal of the game, heading Lee Evans' free-kick into the back of the net to register his first goal in the Football League.

At Brisbane Road, Leyton Orient were held to a barren draw by Wrexham, with Super Eagles-eligible goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo keeping a clean sheet for the Red Dragons, his fifth shutout this term.
