The starters

Goalkeeper

Stanley Nwabali: He had a quiet game as Libya recorded no shot on goal. 6/10

Defenders

Ola Aina: Had nothing to do defensively and didn't offer much when he bumped forward. 6/10

William Troost-Ekong: The veteran centre-back had a quiet game but looked shaky the few times Libya sought to attack. Blasted the ball over the bar from close range in the 28th minute after meeting a rebound. Lately, his pace isn't what it used to be. 6/10

Calvin Bassey: Not scared to go toe-to-toe with the opponents. His physicality ensured the Mediterranean Knights had no rhythm. 7/10

Bruno Onyemaechi: The Boavista star was the more adventurous of the two fullbacks. In the second half and found himself in a goalscoring opportunity but fluffed his lines. 6.5/10

Midfielders

Wilfred Ndidi: The veteran midfielder wasn't electric but looked decent, keeping pressure on Libya whenever they were in possession.6/10

Frank Onyeka: He was energetic at the start of the game, but his energy dwindled and had to be taken off just past the hour mark. 5.5/10

Alex Iwobi: Another disappointing outing from the Fulham midfielder who had two opportunities to open the scoring but was wasteful.5.5/10

Forwards

Moses Simon: He started the game slowly but came alive when he switched to his favourite position and proved to be a handful for the Libyan defence.  Unsurprisingly, he was responsible for creating the assist for the match-winning goal. 7.5/10

Victor Boniface: Another performance from the Bayer Leverkusen forward who had just an attempted goal 4/10

Ademola Lookman: The Atalanta forward started the game brightly but fizzled off when he changed position with Simon. He had a goal ruled out for offside towards the end of the game. 6/10

The substitutes

Samuel Chukwueze: The AC Milan winger looked lively when he came on and should have gotten on the scoresheet. 6/10

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru: He must have been disappointed not to start and was impactful when he came on, grabbing the match-winning goal

Taiwo Awoniyi: The Nottingham Forest was quiet when he came on. 4/10

Raphael Onyedika: The Club Brugge offered nothing much when he came on.4.5/10

Semi Ajayi: He came on very late in the game to be rated.
