France coach, Real Madrid star wary of very physical, fast Super Falcons players ahead of friendly

France coach Laurent Bonadei and Real Madrid star Sandie Toletti have acknowledged that Nigeria's Super Falcons will pose a significant threat when the two teams meet in a friendly match on Saturday.

The encounter, scheduled to take place at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers, promises to be an exciting one as both teams look to fine-tune their preparations for upcoming major tournaments.

For Nigeria, the match is part of a rebuilding phase for the national team following the departure of former head coach Randy Waldrum.

The Super Falcons have been impressive in recent friendlies, including a 2-0 victory and a 4-1 win against Algeria in a game that was largely dominated by home-based players.

The French team, on the other hand, is gearing up for the UEFA Women's Euro Championship in Switzerland next summer.

Les Bleues have been working hard to prepare for the tournament, with coach Laurent Bonadei emphasizing the importance of friendly matches like the one against Nigeria.

"Nigeria were at the Olympics, where Spain only won 1-0 against them, but also at the World Cup, where they lost in the round of 16 against England, 0-0, 2-4 on penalties. They are a solid team, with powerful and fast players.," explained coach Bonadei in quotes relayed by L'Equipe.

"It is a tough team block to maneuver. We will have to attack them while being vigilant on transitions. We must take advantage of their imbalances, also, on counter-pressing."

The French team is well aware of the challenges that the Super Falcons pose.

Sandie Toletti, a midfielder for Les Bleues and Real Madrid player, has firsthand experience playing against some of the Nigerian players.

"I've played alongside players in Spain. It will be a fight, they are very physical. They play in the biggest European clubs or in the United States. It will be tough!" Toletti emphasized.

The Super Falcons have a reputation for being a physical and fast team, and the French players are bracing themselves for a tough encounter.

The match promises to be a thrilling one, with both teams looking to test their skills and strategies ahead of their respective tournaments.

Les Bleues will be without some key players, including Griedge Mbock and Elisa De Almeida, who are injured.

However, the team is confident in their abilities and is looking forward to the challenge posed by the Super Falcons.

The Super Falcons, on the other hand, will be without their star player and captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, as well as Asisat Oshoala.
