19yo eligible for Nigeria, Belgium and Germany scores on full debut for Genk, thanks to Arokodare assist

Tri-national forward Noah Adedeji-Sternberg was among the scorers as Racing Genk came from behind to beat KV Kortrijk 3-2 in a Jupiler Pro League clash at Cegeka Arena on Saturday evening.

The 19-year-old was born in Germany to a German mother and Nigerian father, making him eligible to represent the national teams of Nigeria and Germany, as well as Belgium where he has lived for several years.

After twelve appearances as a substitute, Adedeji-Sternberg celebrated his full debut in the Belgian top flight with a goal in the second half, thanks to Tolu Arokodare's assist.

It was a lightning start for KV Kortrijk as Gilles Dewaele gave them the lead inside four minutes.

However, Genk established a two-goal lead through Patrik Hrosovsky's brace and Adedeji-Sternberg's 68th-minute strike, but Thierry Ambrose pulled one back with a header in stoppage time.

After a delicious pass from Arokodare, Adedeji-Sternberg put the ball into the far corner to make it 3-1.

Adedeji-Sternberg's other goals in the division came against RSC Anderlecht and Sporting Charleroi, needing just 54 minutes of game time spread across twelve matches to score both.

Since all his caps for Belgium's youth teams were in friendly matches, the promising forward can represent the Super Eagles without filing a change of association.
