'Do I like Osimhen?' - Luis Enrique reacts to reports linking Napoli-owned striker to Paris Saint-Germain
Published: December 21, 2024Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique addressed the growing rumours linking Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to the club as the winter transfer window approaches.
Last summer, Osimhen was on the verge of joining PSG after he reportedly agreed to personal terms; however, negotiations between PSG and Napoli fell through, preventing the transfer from materializing.
After the failed move to PSG, Osimhen eventually secured a loan deal with Galatasaray, where he has since made a significant impact.
The Super Eagles forward has showcased his talent by scoring eleven goals and providing five assists in fourteen matches across all competitions.
Osimhen’s impressive performances have reignited interest from top European clubs, including PSG and Chelsea, who are keenly monitoring his situation.
Amidst these speculations, Luis Enrique was pressed on his thoughts regarding the speculations linking Osimhen to PSG.
During a press conference before the Cup match against Lens, the former Barcelona coach avoided addressing the ongoing speculation.
When asked about his thoughts on Osimhen's qualities and performances, he responded, "Do I like Osimhen? I am not talking about players who are not part of the club. Thank you."
The ongoing speculation surrounding Osimhen's future has intensified, particularly in light of uncertainties regarding the future of PSG’s French striker Kolo Muani.
With Muani potentially looking for a new opportunity, the rumours linking Osimhen to the Ligue 1 champions continue to grow, further creating doubts about the future of the Nigerian striker.
