'Similar to Osimhen' - Pundit tips Muani to challenge Napoli loanee if Galatasaray sign PSG forward
Published: December 26, 2024Turkish pundit Serdar Ali Çelikler believes that Randal Kolo Muani would provide fierce competition for Victor Osimhen if Galatasaray lands the signature of the Paris Saint-Germain forward.
The French star has been rendered disposable by Paris Saint-Germain, having fallen out with manager Luis Enrique, and he is ready to leave the Parc de Princes next month.
Galatasaray are also in search of a new striker due to the long-term injury of Mauro Icardi and have been linked with a move for Muani.
The Turkish giants also have a strong interest in Olympic Lyonnais striker Georges Mikautadze, whom they have submitted a bid for.
Speaking on Neo Spor Youtube via haber sari kirmizi, Çelikler reckoned that Muani will provide fierce competition for Osimhen if the matter moves to the RAMS Park.
"Players like Kolo Muani will do well no matter which team they go to. I say this because I watched from the bottom," Çelikler said.
"He went from Nantes to Frankfurt, from there to the French National Team and PSG. He is very similar to Victor Osimhen.
"If he comes to Galatasaray, he will even cut Osimhen and put him on the bench, but I don't think such a situation will happen. If you can't get Osimhen, Kolo Muani will come."
A new striker is unlikely to put the Super Eagles forward out of the starting line-up due to his impressive form this season, registering 17 goal involvements in 15 games.
The Lion manager Okan Buruk has opted to play with two strikers this season, and the search for a new center forward is a result of Michy Batshuayi's failure to impress in the absence of Icardi.
