UCL, UEL, UECL last-16 draw: Boniface, Dessers, Onyedika, Tosin & more discover opponents

Super Eagles forwards Victor Boniface, Cyriel Dessers, and several other Nigerian players have learned their next opponents as UEFA held the draws for the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League knockout stages.  

Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella's Bayer Leverkusen will take on Bayern Munich in the Round of 16, setting up an all-German showdown.

The Bundesliga champions face a tough challenge, having already played Bayern multiple times this season.

Meanwhile, Ethan Nwaneri's Arsenal, who advanced automatically, have been drawn against PSV Eindhoven, the Dutch side that eliminated Juventus.

The Gunners are considered favourites despite their injury concerns, and Nwaneri will hope to contribute as they push for the quarter-finals.  

Raphael Onyedika and Club Brugge will face a tricky test against Aston Villa after the Nigerian midfielder played a key role in his side's victory over Atalanta in the previous round.

Meanwhile, Chuba Akpom's Lille has been drawn against Borussia Dortmund, with the forward aiming to make an impact following his move in the winter transfer window.  

In the UEFA Europa League, Cyriel Dessers and Leon Balogun's Rangers will take on Bright Osayi-Samuel's Fenerbahce, with the Nigerian players looking to make a significant impact in their teams' quest for progression to the next round.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Lazio will go up against Rafiu Durosinmi's Viktoria Plzen in another encounter involving Nigerian players.

Dele-Bashiru will aim to maintain his impressive form in the tournament and play a key role in helping Lazio advance to the next round.

Bruno Onyemaechi's Olympiakos will take on Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt, marking an opportunity for the fullback to gain valuable European experience.  

At Tottenham Hotspur, young Nigerian talents Callum Olusesi and Damola Ajayi could get more chances to shine as Spurs face AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League.

With injuries affecting key players, the duo played a part as Tottenham Hotspur progressed to the Round of 16.

In the Europa Conference League, Chelsea, featuring Nigeria-eligible players Tosin Adarabioyo and Tyrique George, will meet Copenhagen.

The London club has struggled for consistency this season, but Adarabioyo and George will be hoping to help turn their fortunes around and make a deep run in the competition.  

With Nigerian players involved across Europe's top club tournaments, the knockout rounds promise exciting matchups and the chance for them to showcase their talents on the biggest stage.
