Harriman-Annous finds the net as Arsenal U18s lose 10-goal thriller to Tottenham Hotspur
Published: March 08, 2025
Exciting Nigerian forward Andre Harriman-Annous was on target during the U18 north London derby at Hotspur Way on Saturday afternoon, but his goal counted for nothing as Arsenal were beaten 6-4 by Tottenham Hotspur.
Joining Harriman-Annous in the Gunners starting lineup was Samuel Oyekachukwu, while Miracle Adewole played the full game for the Lilywhites.
The Gunners took an early advantage as Harriman-Annous scored inside three minutes, but Tottenham Hotspur responded with goals from Ellis Lehane and Lucá Williams-Barnett to take a 2-1 lead midway through the first half.
After Dan Casey bagged a brace for Arsenal, Junai Byfield responded with a goal to make it all square right before the break.
Spurs took the lead in the 59th minute through Tynan Thompson, while Malachi Hardy added a fifth with a quarter of an hour to go.
Casey converted a penalty to secure his hat-trick with nine minutes left, briefly reviving hopes, but Williams-Barnett struck again in stoppage time to wrap up a 6-4 victory for Spurs.
Onyekachukwu was dismissed in stoppage time after bringing down Reiss Elliot-Parris as he raced toward goal.
Andre Harriman-Annous has tallied fifteen goals in all competitions for Arsenal youth teams this season comprising two in the U18 Premier League Cup, seven in the U18 Premier League, three in the FA Youth Cup and one each in the UEFA Youth League, EFL Trophy and Premier League 2.
