'Tosin is back' - Chelsea boss confirms Super Eagles target available to face Nottingham Forest

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Tosin Adarabioyo is back to full fitness and available for selection ahead of Saturday's Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest.

The dual-national centre-back, who is of interest to Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle, had no chance of being called up for the national team's key October internationals against Lesotho and Benin, as he was recovering from a calf injury.

He was also unavailable for Chelsea's matches against Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool and Benfica.

Tosin returned to full training during the international break, putting him in contention for a place in the travelling squad to the City Ground.

Before his injury setback, the former Manchester City youth captain had started three consecutive Premier League matches and came off the bench early against Manchester United at Old Trafford following Robert Sánchez's red card.

When asked whether the international break was a good period or negative because he lost some players, Maresca told reporters: "No. It's a good one because Tosin is back, Fofana is back, Andrey Santos is back.

"But at the same time, we have unfortunately Enzo out, Moi is out, Pedro is out, so it's a little bit balanced, but we are going to try our best to find the right solutions for the next games."

In Tosin's absence, Maresca has deployed Trevoh Chalobah, Benoît Badiashile, Josh Acheampong and Jorrel Hato in central defence.
