Arsenal coach promotes three teenagers of Nigerian descent to first team training pre-Fulham

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta handed training opportunities to three teenagers of Nigerian descent ahead of the Gunners' Premier League encounter with Alex Iwobi's Fulham.

The Spanish tactician included 17-year-old midfielder Ife Ibrahim and 18-year-old forward Daniel Oyetunde in the first-team session at the Sobha Realty Training Centre on Friday, as part of the team's final preparations for the London derby.

Following the international break, Arteta also assessed another teenager of Nigerian descent Andre Harriman-Annous in Thursday's training session.

Ibrahim, currently in the second year of his scholarship with the Gunners, has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, making his starting debuts in the Premier League 2, EFL Trophy and UEFA Youth League.

His performances earned him a maiden call-up to the England U18 squad for a double-header against France in October.

Oyetunde signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in the summer of 2025, and has been promoted to the development squad.

A place in the travelling squad for the Fulham clash would mark the first senior team involvement for whichever of Oyetunde or Ibrahim is selected.

Harriman-Annous travelled with the first team to Anfield back in August but was an unused substitute against Liverpool.

Also present in Friday's session were Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze, who have returned to training following international duty with England.
