Chelsea and Brighton join Tottenham Hotspur in race for Flying Eagles forward
Published: October 23, 2025
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign highly rated Flying Eagles forward Sani Suleiman.
The 19-year-old attacker caught the attention of several European scouts following his impressive performances for Nigeria at the FIFA U20 World Cup tournament in Chile.
Suleiman stood out with his explosive pace, creative dribbling, and tireless work rate, becoming one of Nigeria’s most influential players at the tournament.
He played a crucial role in helping Nigeria secure their first victory at the competition against Saudi Arabia and earned a vital draw against Colombia that ensured the team’s progression to the Round of 16 as one of the best third-placed teams.
Unfortunately, the young forward missed Nigeria’s Round of 16 clash against Argentina after receiving a suspension due to accumulated yellow cards. The Flying Eagles went on to lose the game 4-0.
Despite Nigeria’s early exit, Suleiman’s performances did not go unnoticed.
His dynamic attacking style and ability to take on defenders have reportedly attracted interest from several European clubs, with Chelsea and Brighton now joining Tottenham Hotspur in the race for his signature.
Suleiman is rated highly across Europe for his technical ability and maturity on the ball.
The CIES Football Observatory recently recognized him as the most complete U21 winger in Europe, based on seven key attributes; aerial duels, finishing, assists, take-ons, orchestration, build-up, and ground defense.
He also ranks among the top 200 teenagers in European football, with an average score of 70.1, placing him 168th overall.
With interest growing from top Premier League clubs, Suleiman will be keen to secure a transfer to a major European side where he can continue his development.
