Super Eagles dual-nationals XI featuring Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Burnley, Leicester stars
Published: October 29, 2025
The National Team Football Hub has unveiled its ultimate Super Eagles dual-nationals XI, highlighting players born overseas who remain eligible to represent Nigeria.
Nigeria continues to boast a wealth of talented dual-eligible players who have yet to make their mark on the international stage.
For this month's internationals, Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle handed call-ups to eight dual-national players, including Ademola Lookman, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, William Troost-Ekong, Alex Iwobi, Cyriel Dessers, Felix Agu and Bright Osayi-Samuel, though the last three were unavailable due to fitness concerns.
In the Best XI, Noah Atubolu (SC Freiburg), who was called up for Germany's World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland, takes the gloves in goal.
Honest Ahanor (Atalanta), one of the standout revelations of the Serie A season, starts at left-back, with another Italian-born talent Michael Kayode at right-back.
The central defence is marshalled by Caleb Okoli (Leicester City) and Tosin Adarabioyo (Chelsea).
Deploying a 4-2-3-1 formation, the holding midfield duo features two players with a Chelsea past Carney Chukwuemeka (Borussia Dortmund) and Lesley Ugochukwu (Burnley).
In the attacking midfield roles, Rio Ngumoha (Liverpool), Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal) and Tyrique George orchestrate the play.
Up front, future Chelsea signing Emanuel Emegha leads the line after catching the eye at Strasbourg, directly contributing to 34 goals (27 goals, 7 assists) in 66 games since joining in the summer of 2023.
