Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi is set to receive a Premier League Milestone Award, provided he features in Fulham's clash with Newcastle United on Saturday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The game against the Magpies will mark Iwobi's 300th appearance in the English top-flight, a remarkable feat since his debut against Swansea City in October 2015.
The Premier League presents awards to players upon reaching 100, 200, 300 appearances and every century thereafter.
Iwobi holds the distinction of being Nigeria's record appearance-maker in the Premier League, surpassing the mark he previously shared with Shola Ameobi last weekend when he was named in Fulham's starting XI against Arsenal.
A product of Arsenal's Hale End Academy, Iwobi played 100 league games for the Gunners before leaving the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2019.
At Everton, the Hale End Academy graduate featured in 123 league matches before joining Fulham, where he has made 76 appearances to date.
Across his 299 Premier League outings, Iwobi has contributed 69 goal involvements, comprsiing 32 goals and 37 assists.
Having started every Fulham top-flight game this season, the midfielder is set to be formally recognised with the Milestone Award after Saturday's clash with Newcastle.
