JOHN CHIBUIKE Recommended CHIKELUBA OFOEDU To Rosenborg
Published: June 19, 2012John Chibuike recommended his best friend, the Rangers striker Chikeluba Ofoedu Francis, to the management of Rosenborg . Ofoedu arrived Norway on Monday, and started trials with the 22-time Norwegian champions on Tuesday.
Chibuike, who played for Enugu Rangers before moving to BK Hacken, Sweden, tipped an agent (thought to be the Norwegian-Nigerian agent Atta Aneke) on the qualities of Ofoedu, who is Rangers' top scorer in the Nigeria Premier League.
''He is the type of player who will fit in here. He can run, is strong, creating chances and scoring goals. If he works hard and believes in himself, he can do it. I look at him as my brother and will be very happy if he is successful,'' Chibuike told the official website, RBK.no.
Chikeluba Ofoedu will train with RBK for two weeks. If successful, he joins his pal Chibuike at the Norwegian powerhouse.
