Granada President: ODION IGHALO's Transfer Is 99% Complete
Published: July 03, 2012Former Nigeria youth-teamer Odion Ighalo will remain with Granada CF in the 2012 - 2013 campaign, the club made the announcement through president Quique Pina on Tuesday during the presentation of two summer recruits - Gabriel Torje and Antonio Floro Flores.
''We have requested transfers of Jaime and Ighalo . It's 99% that the two players are going to be this year in the Granada CF,'' the club's president was quoted as saying by granadacf.ideal.es.
Ighalo is under contract with Udinese until June 2014. For the fourth consecutive season, the Zebras, who have an excellent relationship with Granada, have decided to loan him to the La Liga side.
The 23-year-old striker has netted 27 goals in 81 appearances for Granada. Those goals were instrumental to back-to-back promotions achieved by the Rojiblancos horizontales.
