Injury Rules YOBO Out Of Fenerbahce's Trip To Cyprus
Published: October 24, 2012Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo, due to injury, has been omitted from the Fenerbahce squad which faces Cypriot club AEL Limassol on Thursday in the group stage of the Europa League.
Aykut Kocaman , manager of The Yellow Canaries, has named a 19 - man squad for the trip to Cyprus.
Yobo has not played an official game of football following his injury against Be�ikta� in the 7th round of games in the Super League. He had to be withdrawn in the 70th minute of that encounter.
Thus, the experienced defender missed the Super Eagles 6 - 1 mauling of Liberia in Calabar on October 13, and Fenerbahçe 1-1 draw with Bursaspor a week later
The Super Eagle has made two appearances in the Europa League, against former club Marseille and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
