IZUNNA UZOCHUKWU Likes His New Position
Published: November 10, 2012Source:bold.dk
In recent games, FCM head coach Glen Riddarholmen moved the normally defensive midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu further up the field, and the Nigerian likes his new offensive role.
''I feel comfortable in the position, but there is not much difference for me. I may be a little more aggressive than I am at the number 6 position. I still play in the middle, but the new space gives me more opportunities to move more places on the field, '' says Izunna to FC Midtjylland's website.
He added: ''I like to be more offensive. All my life I have played on the defensive midfield, so I am perhaps a little too defensive, but now I have the opportunity to be more aggressive, and I like to play the position right now. But I like both places.''
22-year-old Izunna has evolved to be a great player for FCM in midfield. Despite his young age, he has suited 95 times for the Danish club.
