VICTOR MOSES Tips Nigeria For Afcon Glory
Published: November 30, 2012
Chelsea forward and Super Eagles star, Victor Moses, has expressed confidence that Nigeria was capable of lifting the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa next year.
The former Wigan man, who broke into the Super Eagles team this year, believes that several factors would work in favour of the Super Eagles when the tournament begins in January.
“I am confident we can get the job done in South Africa. This is because we have a good team with determined players who are ready to prove that it is a new dawn for the game in the country,” he told Goal.com.
“Nigeria missed the last tournament in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon and there is a hunger on the part of the players to do well and appease the fans of the team.
“We have a wonderful coaching crew who know how to bring out the best in the players. They have succeeded in making sure that every player merits being on the plane to South Africa.
“Nigerians are praying and the football authorities are also working round the clock to motivate the team.
“We have a strong team and with all the preparations that will be put in place, I don't see anything stopping us," Moses said.
Nigeria is in Group C alongside defending champions Zambia, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia.
