Fifa Ranking: Nigeria At The 52nd Position

The Super Eagles of Nigeria ended the year as the 52nd best team in the world in the latest ranking by Football's governing body Fifa. In comparison with last month's ranking, Nigeria, who are the 10th best team in Africa, climbed five places.
African Cup of Nations Group C opponents Zambia, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia are ranked 34th, 89th and 110th respectively. In the continental ranking, the Chipolopolo are ranked 5th, Dalyarak Ciha 24th while the Walya Antelopes are placed 31st.
European and World champions Spain continue to top the ranking followed by Germany, Argentina and Italy.
The first ranking of 2013 will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on January 17.
