Renard Rated Ahead Of Wenger In French PFA Awards!
Herve Renard has continued to get international praise and recognition following his amazing feat of leading Zambia to her first Africa Cup of Nations triumph with the France Football Magazine rating him 6th in on the list of France’ manager of the year ahead of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Renard who apart from winning the AFCON tournament title in 2012 has also led the Zambia national team to qualification for the 2013 edition of the tournament with the Chipolopolo sitting comfortably at the summit of their 2014 World Cup qualification group ahead of Ghana, Sudan and Lesotho.

According to the MailOnline, the award is a French equivalent of the PFA awards in Britain and the relegation of the Arsenal mentor below the current African coach of the year has been seen as demeaning to Wenger.

Earlier in the month, Renard was voted as the 6th best coach of the year in the World Soccer Awards.

The French player of the year award was won by Karim Benzema, with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who only recently made it into the Tottenham team as a regular starter being the highest ranked premier league player.

This month’s issue of France Football magazine publishes the player and manager of the year lists, one of the country’s most prestigious footballing awards that have been running since the 1960s.
