Austin Ejide Plays Down Injury Fears
Published: January 10, 2013Hapoel Be'er Sheva custodian Austin Ejide has quickly moved to dispel suggestions that he is injured and will spend some time on the sidelines following a thigh strain on Wednesday night against Cape Verde in a pre -Nations Cup friendly.
According to the former Gabros goalkeeper, doctors have given him the green-light to return to action as early as Saturday.
He told MTNFootball.com: ''I have been told that in two days I can resume action on the pitch, because I’m feeling very free now.''
The cheering news will come as a massive boost to coach Stephen Keshi as Ejide is expected to provide cover to regular number one Vincent Enyeama in South Africa.
