John Chibuike Undergoes Operation Again
Published: March 08, 2013
John Chibuike struggled for most part of the 2012 campaign with a groin complaint after he got injured in Rosenborg's pre-season training camp.
Though the 24 - year - old underwent surgery in Germany last summer to repair the damage, he has suffered another relapse.
And as a result, the midfielder had to undergo another surgery in Germany on Friday, reports the official website of Rosenborg.
''He has had some problems after the operation, but the past week the pain has gotten worse. We therefore chose to send him back to where he originally was operated.
''John conducted Friday morning a less invasive procedure in the same place. He should be back in business within a week, but it is still too early to say whether he will play in the first league game,'' says medical coordinator Haakon Schwabe to rbk.no.
Rosenborg, Norway's most successful club, will play Odd Grenland in their first match in the Tippeligaen next Sunday.
