Real Madrid Test Bayern Munich Resolve With 65M Euros Bid For Alaba

Real Madrid are still interested in the acquisition of Bayern Munich&rsquo;s David Alaba though their first attempt to sign the wing-back was rebuffed by the Germans. <br /><br />Spanish newspaper <i>AS</i> is reporting that the European champs have tested Bayern&rsquo;s resolve to hold onto the Austria international by making a fresh bid in the region of &euro;65 million.<br /><br />The first offer made by Real Madrid was for &euro;50 million but CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge clearly stated that the Bundesliga side were not interested in parting with their defender.<br /><br />Alaba, 24, was part of the Austrian squad that could not qualify for the knockout rounds of the ongoing European Championship, starting all the group games.<br /><br />Real Madrid are in the market for a left-back and the Austrian-Nigerian is at the top of their wishlist.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley<br />
