John Egharevba was the second youngest player in the Golden Eaglets class of 2003 that represented the country at the 2003 Fifa Under 17 World Cup hosted by Finland.
Egharevba was playing for a local youth team in Benin City before he was scouted by Nigeria U17 coach Augustine Eguavoen, who later invited him to a training camp, where he impressed.
Aged 14 as at that time, the defensive midfielder managed only one appearance for the Golden Eaglets at the World Cup, lasting the distance in their 2-1 win over Australia.
The likes of John Obi Mikel, Chinedu Obasi, Emmanuel Sarki, Isaac Promise and Solomon Okoronkwo were part of the squad in Finland.
