Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua have reached an agreement with Major League Soccer team Seattle Sounders over the transfer of Obafemi Martins.<br /><br />The financial terms and duration of the contract the Nigeria national-teamer penned were not disclosed, but this website has been informed that he has appended his signature to a 1+1 year deal.<br /><br />According to <i>Netease Sports</i>, a plethora of Chinese Super League teams were interested in snapping up Obafemi Martins before he chose Shanghai Shenhua .<br /><br />Guangzhou R &amp; F, Tianjin Teda, Shijiazhuang Yongchang were among the teams that approached the former Inter Milan and Newcastle United star.<br /><br />The 31-year-old Martins began training with Shanghai Shenhua on Thursday, a day after he arrived in South Korea.<br /><br /><br />
