Riyad Mahrez's stunning 95th minute free-kick sent Algeria to the final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Nigeria 2-1 on Sunday evening.
The Manchester City star admitted that the Super Eagles were a tough nut to crack and was delighted to net the winning goal in injury time.
''It was a strong and tough game against a very good team, both teams were sizing each other up, it was difficult,'' Mahrez said in the mixed zone.
''It was 1-1 and then we had this free-kick and I had the chance to score it and I did it, so I'm very happy.''
Questioned about the hardest match Algeria have played so far in the AFCON 2019, the Algeria captain replied : ''I think it was this game, every game is difficult.
''When you qualify for the quarterfinal and semifinal, it is more difficult.''
Mahrez and his Algerian teammates will face Senegal in Friday's final while the Super Eagles battle Tunisia for the bronze medal.
