Sao Paulo youth team coach Marcos Vizolli pointed out that the Golden Eaglets players were goal-shy during their 2-1 loss to the South American team in a friendly on Monday evening.
He admitted that Nigeria were the better side in the second stanza and tried to wreak havoc by using their wingers.
Despite the numerous scoring opportunities created by Manu Garba's team, the only goal they scored came from a penalty converted by Olakunle Olusegun in the 70th minute.
''It was a really good game, Nigeria tried to dominate the midfield, they tried to score but they couldn't, they missed four times in the first half,'' said Marcos Vizolli.
''In the second half, Nigeria was better, they dominated much better the game and tried to work a lot with the wingers but they couldn't score another goal.
''They conceded in the second half because the midfield lost the ball. The result is not so important, the importance is the level and the intensity of the game which will prepare them for the World Cup.''
Up next, the Golden Eaglets will face South Korea in another friendly on Wednesday, October 16.
