Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler has highlighted the quality of Kelechi Iheanacho and believes that the Leicester City striker is marketable because he has the ability to score goals.
The former Manchester City wonderkid ended the 2020-2021 campaign with a career-best nineteen goals in all competitions.
Iheanacho hit a rich vein of form for the Foxes in the second half of the season and was named Premier League Player of the Month for March while missing out on the April award.
His goals came in handy for Leicester City as their usually reliable striker Jamie Vardy was experiencing a goal drought during that period.
"Kelechi like anyone who scores goals, it becomes a marketable commodity. It was interesting that Jamie Vardy didn't score when Kelechi hit his hottest streak," Tyler said to Elegbete TV Sports.
"It was almost as if the way they play they'd only consume one of them at one time, and how that develops I think Brendan Rodgers will want that not to be the case because he doesn't want a Jamie Vardy who's in a supporting role.
"He wants Jamie Vardy to be hungry, age will not dim his appetite for scoring goals."
Iheanacho almost rescued a point for Leicester City when he came off the bench to reduce the deficit in their penultimate match of the season against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Tyler continued : "Kelechi the last time I saw Leicester play in the flesh, it was the league game in Chelsea, and he didn't start, and they're in trouble and he comes on and scores a goal within moments of coming on so he's got that knack, and he's hungry for goals and that's a great quality".
In April 2021, Iheanacho committed his future to Leicester City by signing a new contract that will run until at least the end of the 2023-24 season.
