Scottish Premiership side Hibernian are assessing Nigerian winger Hassan Olaniyi ahead of a possible transfer.

According to the official website of the National Youth League Cup, the Shuffle Select Football Academy winger has earned a tryout with Hibernian.

Operating primarily as a right-sided forward, Hassan Olaniyi is a naturally attack-minded, left-footed player known for his direct approach, smart positional awareness and creative movement in advanced areas. 

At 5.7 ft and 65 kg, he possesses a strong yet well-balanced frame, complemented by agility that allows him to excel in one-on-one duels and contribute decisively in transition.

The Shuffle Select Football Academy starlet has been shaped in a disciplined setting focused on refining technical ability, strengthening tactical awareness, and building mental toughness.

Deployed on the right wing, he frequently drives inside onto his favoured left foot, generating scoring opportunities and consistently unsettling opposing back lines.

In addition to his physical profile, Hassan displays a mature approach to the game, marked by quick decision-making, strong defensive work rate, and tactical flexibility. 

Among the most notable Nigerian players to have worn the colours of Hibernian are 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner Efe Ambrose, former Flying Eagles defender Marvin Ekpiteta, and Akpo Sodje, the younger brother of retired Nigerian internationals Efe and Sam Sodje.
