Ahead of the start of the MLS regular season, Seattle Sounders tackled Sporting Kansas City in a friendly on Sunday morning.<br /><br />The game held at Kino Sports Complex ended 1 - 1, with Nigeria international Obafemi Martins finding target for the capital outfit.<br /><br />But it was Sporting Kansas City that took the lead in the eighth minute through Connor Hallisey.<br /><br />Ex Inter Milan and Newcastle Star Obafemi Martins equalized on the hour mark after being set up by Clint Dempsey.<br /><br />Obafemi Martins netted 17 goals in 35 games during the 2014 campaign, and was named 2014 Volkswagen MLS MVP runner-up.<br /><br />Seattle Sounders will host New England Revolution in their league opener on March 9.<br />
