Slave Contracts : FC Midtjylland Deny Accusations By Nigerian Players

FC Midtjylland has published a statement on its website denying that the club forces Nigerian players to sign contracts with specific agents so they get underpaid. <br /><br />The sporting director of the Danish club, Claus Steinlein , has argued that six different agents represents the eight Nigerians on the payroll of FCM.<br /><br />&ldquo;We do not force young players to take certain agents.&nbsp; We recommend those we think will be best for them.&nbsp; <br /><br />&ldquo;We have seen a young player with a foreign agent, who demanded 300,000 Danish kroner net a month (40,000 euros) after a handful of first team games.&nbsp; <br /><br />&ldquo;It was not conducive to his possibilities with us,&rdquo; said Claus Steinlein to fcm.dk.<br /><br />Grassroots team FC Ebedei, owned by Churchill Oliseh, are affiliated with FC Midtjylland .<br />
