Southampton and Norwich City interested in signing Anglo-Nigerian defender
Southampton have joined Norwich City in the race for the signature of Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo, according to the Daily Express.
The Saints are in the market for a central defender following the sale of Jannik Vestergaard to Leicester City last week.
The Canaries are looking to strengthen in central defence after the capture of attack-minded duo Josh Sargent and Christos Tzolis and want to bring in Adarabioyo before the transfer window slams shut in thirteen days.
Adarabioyo can only leave Fulham if a club interested in his services trigger his release clause in the region of £10million.
Manchester City will benefit from the sale of the Anglo-Nigerian star having retained a 20 percent sell-on clause on the player who spent seventeen years with them.
A very disciplined defender, Adarabioyo started 33 of Fulham's 38 matches in the top-flight last term, logging 2954 minute and was cautioned just once for time wasting in a 2-1 win at Leicester City.
The 23-year-old has gone the distance in the three Championship matches played by the Cottagers in the new season.
