Sporting Braga will start negotiations with Nigeria international Elderson Echiejile over a new contract in the coming days, according to Portuguese sports daily <i>A Bola.</i><br /><br />The 25 - year - old had attracted huge interest from Besiktas in the last hours of the summer transfer window but the Archbishops refused to do business with their Turkish counterparts.<br /><br />Aware that Echiejile can sign for a new team as early as January as his current deal expires in June 2014, the management of Sporting Braga wants to extend his stay at the AXA Stadium.<br /><br />Though the Super Eagle has been reinstated in the squad, he was not named in the side that beat Estoril 3 - 2 last weekend.<br /><br />Elderson Echiejile has been at Sporting Braga since the summer of 2010.<br /><br />Photo Credit : fifa.com<br /><br />
