Stoke City took an early lead in the 17th minute when Sorba Thomas struck, putting the home side ahead.
Hull responded early in the second half, with Ajayi leveling the score in the 48th minute.
The goal came from a well-executed corner by Mohamed Belloumi, which Ajayi converted with a towering header from close range.
This strike, his first in Hull City colours, marked a crucial turning point in the match, bringing the Tigers back into contention.
Hull City continued to apply pressure following Ajayi’s equalizer. The Tigers maintained their attacking momentum throughout the second half, ultimately securing the winning goal in the 90th minute.
Joe Gelhardt found the net to complete the 2-1 comeback, sealing all three points for Hull City.
Ajayi’s performance was significant both defensively and offensively.
His ability to capitalize on set-piece opportunities proved decisive, and his contribution on the scoreboard allowed Hull to maintain momentum and push for the late winner.
