Football governing body, Fifa, on Thursday published the year - end ranking of national teams.<br /><br />Compared to their position the previous month, Nigeria have dropped seven places, and now occupy the 66th position. In the continental ranking,&nbsp; the Super Eagles are the 14th best team in Africa.<br /><br />Ivory Coast, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde Islands and Tunisia are the top five teams in Africa in that order.<br /><br />Our rivals to book a ticket to the next African Nations Cup - Egypt, Chad and Tanzania - are 57th,114th&nbsp; and 132nd&nbsp; respectively.<br /><br />Belgian were the best ranked country at the end of 2015, followed by World Cup and Copa America vice - champions Argentina and Spain.<br /><br />The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on 7th January, 2016.<br /><br /><u><b>Top Ten African Teams</b></u><br />1) Ivory Coast<br />2) Algeria<br />3) Ghana<br />4) Cape Verde Islands<br />5) Tunisia<br />6) Senegal<br />7) Congo<br />8) Guinea<br />9) Egypt<br />10)Cameroon.<br /><br />
