Allnigeriasoccer.com gives the verdict on everyone of the Gernot Rohr's men in action..
The Starters
Goalkeeper
Francis Uzoho: Had very little to do and was largely untroubled for the best part of the game. (7/10)
Defenders
Bryan Idowu: Did well in choking the forays of the Seychelles attack and was rarely found wanting. (7/10)
Kenneth Omeruo: Was always alert to cut out any ventures made by the Pirates attack. Picked up a booking for an avoidable foul. (7/10)
Leon Balogun: Marshaled the defence perfectly and was adept in his aerial duels. (8./10)
Chidozie Awaziem: Put in a good shift down the right channel and worked with great understanding with Kalu. Converted the second goal from a rebound. (7/10)
Midfielders
Wilfred Ndidi: Controlled the midfield with some guile and poise and was a real menace when he moved forward. (8/10)
Ogenyi Onazi: Kept passes simple and joined the attack at will. Covered the defensive line well. (7.5/10)
Kelechi Iheanacho: Took time to get going and aside the early misplaced exchanges, did very well. Rattled the post with a slick free-kick before getting a yellow card for his troubles. (7/10)
Attackers
Samuel Kalu: The debutant showed glimpses of trickery on the flanks and went close with a couple of shots. Won a second half penalty after forcing Collins Esther into tripping him in the box. (7.5/10)
Ahmed Musa: Yet one of the best players on show at the Stade Linité. The stand-in skipper opened scoring with a superb beauty just 14 minutes in before he was denied a second by the goalkeeper's legs. (8.5/10)
Odion Ighalo: Stood up the ball nicely for Musa's opener before scoring the third from the spot. (7.5/10)
