Nigeria’s Super Eagles have adjusted their preparation plans in Fès, Morocco, after a delayed arrival on Thursday necessitated changes to the team’s training schedule ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Officials confirmed that Thursday’s planned training session was moved due to the team’s later-than-expected arrival in Fès, prompting coaching staff to recalibrate the schedule to ensure players maintain peak physical and tactical readiness.
To compensate, the Super Eagles will hold two training sessions on Friday, with the first session kicking off at 10 a.m. and the second scheduled for 6 p.m.
The dual sessions are designed to make up for lost time and allow the squad to focus on both fitness and tactical drills ahead of the tournament.
The Super Eagles, drawn into Group C alongside Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda, will begin their campaign against Tanzania on Tuesday, December 23. This will be followed by matches against Tunisia on December 27 and Uganda on December 30.
All 28 squad members are now in Morocco, including striker Victor Osimhen, who joined the team late Wednesday night in Cairo before the move to Fès.
As the countdown to AFCON 2025 continues, the Super Eagles remain committed to rigorous preparation, determined to contend for their fourth continental title.
