Hertha Berlin's signing of Chidera Ejuke is drawing closer, with the Nigeria international arriving in the German capital Berlin to undergo a medical examination with the Bundesliga club.
According to German sports publication Kicker, Ejuke has agreed to join Hertha Berlin but the transfer was delayed because he was stuck in Moscow due a visa issue.
Subject to him passing the routine medical, the 24-year-old is moving to Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan with no option to buy included in the deal.
Fifa has ruled that foreign footballers and coaching staff from the Russian Premier League will be allowed to unilaterally suspend their contracts at Russian clubs until the summer of 2023, paving the way for Ejuke to join Hertha Berlin.
The Super Eagle is expected to travel to England to link up with his new teammates who are preparing for the new season in Burton-upon-Trent, not far from Birmingham.
Hertha Berlin would be his fourth club in European football after previously wearing the colours of Valerenga Oslo, SC Heerenveen and CSKA Moscow.
Ejuke has scored ten goals while providing eight assists in 55 appearances in the Russian Premier League.
