Club Brugge coach Philippe Clement will not be able to count on the services of Emmanuel Dennis when his side take on Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Nigeria international was originally included in Club Brugge's 22-player traveling party to Dortmund and was spotted boarding the team bus on Monday morning.
Clement announced at the pre-match press conference that Dennis won't play a part against the Bundesliga side as he has been dropped from the roster for disciplinary reasons.
"He is fit, but he is not in the selection against Dortmund," Clement told reporters.
"Dennis has broken some of the club's rules. That is the only reason. I will not elaborate on his situation further
"I only focus on the players who are there, just like with injuries and COVID cases. That's why I'm not saying anything about Dennis."
Dennis was rested for last weekend's 1-0 win against KV Kortrijk because he was expected to play a role against Dortmund.
