Super Falcons captain seals Paris Saint-Germain's Coupe LFFP final spot with late stunner

Paris Saint-Germain forward and Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade delivered a moment of brilliance to secure her team’s place in the Coupe LFFP final on Saturday, scoring the decisive goal in a 3-0 victory over Paris FC.

Already dominant in last week’s 3-0 league win over the same opponents, PSG replicated the scoreline in the cup, with Ajibade’s strike serving as the crowning moment.

The first half of the Parisian derby was cagey, with few chances. Paris FC came close through Klaudia Jedlinska, whose angled shot rattled the crossbar in the 10th minute.

But it was in the second half that PSG’s attacking threat became unstoppable. Romée Leuchter opened the scoring in the 47th minute, followed by Merveille Kanjinga doubling the lead in the 60th.

It was Ajibade who put the finishing touch on PSG’s attacking masterclass in the 89th minute.

The Nigeria international received the ball in space and calmly slotted a perfectly weighted shot past Paris FC goalkeeper Tara Elimbi Gilbert, leaving no doubt about the result.

With the Coupe LFFP final now in sight, all eyes will be on Rasheedat Ajibade, whose form and influence could prove decisive as PSG aims to lift the trophy in the competition’s inaugural edition.
