Talented defender eligible for Nigeria, England, Poland, signs new schoolboy deal with Arsenal

Promising tri-national defender Jax Egbuson has committed his future to Premier League giants Arsenal by signing a new deal.

Gunners youth team insider Jeorge Bird is reporting that Egbuson has secured a two-year contract extension, so he will stay at Arsenal until he reaches the U16 age group.

Before joining Arsenal in February 2024, he was part of Watford's youth academy, where he spent two and a half years.

The young defender has multiple international options as he qualifies to play for Nigeria, England and Poland.

However, the The Football Association have made the first move in the race for his international allegiance, inviting him to an England U15 training camp in October 2025, where he enjoyed a highly positive experience at St George's Park.

There are indications that Nigeria could be an option in the future, with the youngster following the Super Eagles and Victor Osimhen on social media.

Two months after joining Arsenal, Egbuson played a key role in helping the club secure the Hale End U12 Cup, defeating Manchester City in the final.

The following season, he was also part of the Arsenal side that lifted the U13 Premier League Cup Super Cup, further underlining his early success at youth level.
